Oxidizing Agents: Form color blue to brown black when agents such as bleach, nitrite and pyridinium chlorochromate are present.
pH values below 4.0 and above 11.0 indicate adulteration. Pad changes color from orange (low) to green (normal), brown (high).
Creatinine low levels are an indication of dilution. The color intensity is directly proportional to the concentration of creatinine in the urine.
Ni or Nitrite levels of up to 3.6 mg/dl may be found in come urine specimens. Nitrite Pad changes from no color to pink for normal, dark purple for abnormal above 50 mg/dl.
